My kids went to bed regular time and woke up regular time--even with the clock change? It was darker than usual at that time in the morning--who told them? I was looking forward to that "extra hour" of sleep

old problem. I always say that whoever thought of this brilliant idea of moving clocks back and forth did not have kids! I know already by now to expect hard week with kids schedules, when the clock gets moved.

I hate daylight savings time. Who needs it to be light outside at 8:30pm? 7:30pm is fine for the sun to start going down. "But it's still light outside! Why do I have to come in/go to sleep/take a bath..."

No I meant they went to bed at their regular bedtime--8:30, and they usually wake up at 7:30. Even with changing the clocks they woke up at 7:30--EDT! According to their body clocks they should have slept another hour!

My kids did that too.
TBH they often wake up between 5 and 7 am but they went to bed late the night before (old time) so I assumed even with old time they would wake up later than usual (say 730).
Instead they woke up new time 630 which is 530 old time and trust my kids to know something is up.
But this morning they"caught up" and only woke up at 715 making us all wake up "late" which was nice
