We are considering moving to Monsey. I would call us open minded yeshivish. I would love an area that is a nice mix of litvish ppl kollel working etc. I don't want the house to be an arm and leg so an up and coming further out area is fine. I have nothing against chassidim but I would rather not move to an area that will become all chassidish in five years time. I want my kids to have some like minded people to play with not to be the odd one out. What areas of Monsey should I be looking into?

There are very few real yeshivish areas left. There are the condos by Brockton near Monsey Glatt, a little by Blauvelt Road and surrounding area, and some in New Hempstead. Everywhere else is starting to become chassidish or has alot more modern than yeshivish.

There is a kollel on Dykstras. Rock Hill is yeshivish (a little further down the road from Dykstras)
Kiryas Radin is also a yeshivish neighborhood.

Chestnut Ridge- Scotland Hill area
Very popular with young families that are middle of the road yeshivish
