Could you eat chametz on Shabbat?

For all the Israel people who only keep one day- were we technically allowed to eat chametz on shabbat? Obviously this is very impractical. You couldn't own said chametz over Pesach, you can't buy it before shabbat, and no one wants to eat chametz with their Pesach dishes all out...but is it technically permissible?
If so, what is the hypothetical situation in which this would be possible? (Leaving aside the obvious non-Jewish friend who stops by with kosher chametz on Friday night.)

As far as I know, if, theoretically, you could get your hands on some kosher chametz that wasn't owned by a Jew during Pesach (I.e., there was no problem of not selling it), it would be fine.

(Q: Is there any issue of accepting food from a non-Jew on Shabbat? Not something he cooked, but say, a sealed box of Entenmann's chocolate doughnuts...)

I guess it would probably be permissible if you were given sealed kosher food by a non-Jew. We definitely enjoyed our kitniyot today, though!

It depends when the kinyan of the non-Jew expires according to the shtar mechira.
If it expired when the chag was over (as in the case of the chametz sold by our yishuv) then you were theoretically permitted to eat the chametz that you sold.
You are also allowed to eat a non-Jew's chametz that was (obviously) not sold if it was introduced לא לצורך ישראל. I'm not exactly sure what that means -I think it's like (kosher) chametz that a foreign worker might happen to have in his posession that he might offer you, but not something that he bought especially for the Jewish person's use.
And yes, we also enjoyed our kitniyot this Shabbat.
Ok, break over - back to Rumpelnacht...

If a non Jew were to give you a bag of pretzels on Shabbos, you could eat them. We had rice cakes with our sholoshudes.
