S/O to Cuisineart Pots.
Anything I should know before cooking hard boiled eggs in my new Cuisineart pot? I don't want the pot to turn black.

The best and easiest way to make hard boiled eggs is to steam them for 15 minutes!

Bring to a boil (I add baking soda so eggs don't crack), turn off flame, cover pot, let sit 12 minutes on timer, then drain and cool under running water.

Why would boiling eggs turn the pot black?
