Never made a cheese cake with tofu that came out good. Unless you are used to eating tofu, avoid it.
We used to make good pareve cheese cakes, the no bake kind, by making a pareve milk pudding. That is as simple as choosing a pareve milk, cornstarch, vanilla, and sugar, and cooking while whisking, until it thickens. Do find a recipe online.
