Is the meat here really worth it's price? Do you find it better quality? By the butcher counter I was surprised to see nothing had a label what it is and nothing was marked with a price.

you have to know your meat - wherever & whenever you purchase it
why wouldn't they have the prices ?
personally I pay more for good lean quality meat - rather than but cheap fatty piece

When I was there I had to ask him if the piece was a veal chop because it said nothing in front of it.

yes it's nice to have the type of meat as well as the weight alongside the price ... nobody wants to pick up just anything
this store doesn't sound like a place I would want to shop ...
there is no reason in this day and age ... unless they have a fresh cow in the back with a shochet on premises -

then again if you go into pomegranate you might have to ask the butcher for what you want & then you have no idea how much you will pay either ... but it will be fresh & expensive
