I made khachapouri for Shavuot last Friday with 1/2 cube of fresh (bakers) yeast. Will I be able to use the other half for making challot laster this week? Will it lose potency if frozen?

I freeze fresh yeast all the time (guess it's not fresh then) with excellent results. I actually buy it in a larger quantity because it saves $$$, I cut it into the size pieces I need for my Challah recipe, and freeze in plastic bags. When I want to bake Challah, I take out a piece and defrost/dissolve it in warm water, sift my flour, and then use that for baking. I allow a little extra time for rising.
