I was about to order laminate flooring for kids' bedrooms but the saleslady asked me why I'm not getting wood. She said they don't even sell wood, but it's the same price as laminate. And laminate gets scratched, which you cannot fix. She said it's low maintenance -that's why people get it. Basically, for high traffic areas where they would otherwise have to resand it etc.
Should I go with hardwood?
Anybody knows if it's better to go to a private place in Lakewood, or Home Depot?
If Home Depot, do they install it and finish it? I don't know what it's called. Lacquering or whatever?
