If she likes jewelry, you can get her a beading kit. Craft stores now sell them with everything you need in one box, and there's usually enough for several projects.
PRO TIP: Give her a roasting pan to put her project in. The beads won't roll off the edges, and the nurses can pick up the whole pan and move it to the side when they need to get to her. A towel in the bottom of the pan will keep the beads pretty much in the same place, so the pattern she's working on won't be disturbed too badly.
(Cookie sheets don't have high enough edges, and the beads can "jump" off of the sides. I learned this from experience.)

I second the adult coloring books among with a set of nice art pencils. Adult spdoesnt kean prurient but just that the designs are complicated. Very relaxing as my friends daughter with cancer does this when she is hospitalized.

I agree to Craft kits if she's up to It. Maybe something from the company klutz.
Books may be to heavy though. Hard to concentrate sometimes in the hospital on a book unless it's something she really enjoys or maybe something lite. Short stories kids comic book perhaps.
Ds would be fun but expensive can also get a brick game for about 10 dollars that has all different electronic games.
Games you play yourself from the company think fun. Like rush hour.
But all this would really depend on how "well" she us feeling.
Please don't send food unless you know for sure what she is allowed to eat. It's very frustrating to stare ate baskets of food you are not allowed to have!
I received cute night gowns from two different people or fuzzy slippers and they were very appreciated or a fizzy robe. But something to keep her busy at this point may be best!
Hatzlocha!

No nail polish. If she shares a room, the fumes could really bother her neighbor. Besides, the nurses need to see the natural color of her nails. It's one of the quick ways they can check blood oxygen levels. I was always told to take all nail polish off before I came into the hospital.
