Would you want your kids youth leaders to have MYSpace ?

I dont want my kids or the Rabbis to have facebook

NCSY Rabbis all have facebook .com it is like MYspace.com

While I would definitely expect them to ask permission before posting photos of my child online, I wouldn't consider it inappropriate of them to have a facebook or MYSpace. It's actually a really good way for them to keep in touch with parents and let them know what kind of special events are going on. It's also a good advertising too.

its a great way to stay in touch with all the kids. almost all teens have facebook nowadays. almost all college students and most chabad on campus rabbis have facebook.

facebook is completely different than myspace, their is no chatting if you want only your friends can view your page, its much safer than myspace. Its probably a good idea because the leaders can write newsletters and stuff and the kids can read it.
