I didn't pay yet for August and it's due by July 31, but of course they're closed tomorrow and Monday is the 1st!! Any way to avoid termination of coverage? Please respond only if you understand exactly what my problem is and have specific advice. Anyone been there done that ??

It isn't open enrollment so you can't reapply now I think. (Unless you lost work coverage, had a baby etc).
Can you pay online or through automated phone system?

Are you talking about child health plus? I got a letter from then in May that they didn't receive my payment and coverage will be terminated if not received by May thirty first. If you pay on the first you should ok.

They don't cancel immediately if you don't pay on the exact due date. They send you a notice that your policy will be cancelled in x days if you don't pay.
I don't have this insurance but I was late a few times with my health insurance from procrastination and so I received this letter actually after I had paid.
If I were you, I would call them tomorroe and pay by credit card. This is generally a way to pay. It is what I did when I was late or very close to the deadline.

I think you have a month or two grace period. They wont cancel you today. They'll honor it on monday.

Oh they are just terrible. They want payment two months in advance and if you miss the due date you WILL lose coverage. Pay asap on August 1st and call them immediately and if you're lucky you'll have coverage but the likeliest scenario is that the August 1st payment will cover your kids for September.
This happened to me last year and to my sil.
P.s. Children can apply for insurance anytime during the year.

Thanks all. The worst part of this is that I can't pay online today and there's no automated payment system !! Frustrating !!
