we have a 2.5 mile hike to and from shul.

So around 2:05 we left shul, after clearing tables and listening to the Rabbi's funny banter with each other..

So upon leaving the shul, with a neighbor we started walking and noticed grey clouds... the neighbor, who keeps weather channel on all shabbos, said yeah it's supposed to rain around 3 so we have plenty of time to get home..

Of course it started thundering and with each thunder we would take off running and the kids crying they do not want to get wet.

So we started screaming, "Please do not rain on us, but if we get wet gam zu letova."

My middle child kept pointing out that there was a cloud with a hole following us (there was a cloud with blue sky poking through) so he said we are ok. B"H we made it back minutes before the storm hit.

Though it was pitch black in our apt, because the timmers had not turned on the lights yet.

there was no storm here ... but sounds like scary FUN to beat the storm home ... I would have danced in the rain ...

The storm hit here around 5:00ish. There was a flash and immediate resounding crack of thunder directly overhead, and a downpour, but it let up quickly to a moderate rain. My husband was going to be late for giving a shiur, so he had to leave in the rain!

I was enroute to a Shabbos kallah and boy did I get wet.

must have been a southern storm ... usually we get it here first and it travels east ... I guess not so ...

Walking home after dropping off dd at a friends house. The sky got darker and darker and lots of thunder, but it only started raining when I got home, and it all cleared up by the time I had to go and pick her up.
