Looking for recommendations for a restaurant in Manhattan - something that would be appropriate for a group of adults in their 20s-30s (no kids) and isn't totally overrun with children or insanely extravagant. Meat or Dairy ok.

I don't know what you consider insanely extravagant, but Abigael's comes to mind. It's fleishig and not cheap, but it's a nice classy place, definitely not overrun by kids. If you want nice milchigs, try Va Bene.
