Do Zara's kids' cardigans shrink?

Just purchased cardigans for dds that are 70% cotton. In general, I find that Zara merchandise shrinks terribly. Dd5 tried on a size 5 cardigan that was a bit too just, and the 6 was a bit big. Can I assume that the sweater will shrink, and just keep the size 6?

Mine never shrank and they were washed many times.

This. Regardless of whether it will shrink or not, it's the beginning of the season and she'll hopefully wear it for 5-6 months. If something fits now, by the end of the season it will likely be too small.

Do you dry them the dryer? If so, they will shrink. Some companies shrink more significantly than others. My experience is that if you dry them flat without a dryer they should not shrink. But if you dry on occasion definitely go up in size.

Never! But the Zara stuff shrink anyway.
