PA and NV are looking good for her. The remaining states that favor Trump have such tiny leads that they can swing the other way in a heartbeat.

Can you imagine what clowns we look like if it comes down to Alaska? Puerto Rico?

I believe each state gets one vote. Most state houses have more Republican reps than Democrats.

If that happens then Clinton won't stand a chance.
But let's see where this is going first.

Puerto Rico, Guam and American Samoa do not have electoral college votes.

OT, but I bet you Clinton wrote both a concession speech and an acceptance speech weeks ago, and with multiple drafts.
And that Trump will wing it either way.

And the Donald has just won Iowa.

I think they have to choose from the existing candidates. Which is a shame. I think our whole electoral system makes no sense. If over half of the US voted against each candidate, how and why would you go ahead and make that person president?! So undemocratic.
Anyway I just stepped in to say I'm so disappointed that Johnson isn't doing better. He was never going to win but he seemed so close to that 5% threshold that would have at least rattled the awful, messed-up two-party system for the future. I'm only seeing 3% now which is just... dismal. Say what you want about Aleppo but I think he had a lot of strong things to say in this campaign. Not enough PR, I only started paying attention to him more recently, but once I did start paying attention I found that his campaign looked pretty good. The only problem is that only his little fan base was around to see how good it looked, it wasn't getting out very much. I voted for him to be part of the 5% because I am in NY and correctly predicted that the winning margin was going to be wide enough that my vote would not make a difference that way.

No, I listened to this on the radio this morning... They can actually pick anyone they want.

OK I guess I'm happy to stand corrected and should have looked it up before opening my mouth. But still, that seems even more undemocratic - they can pick a candidate that most people have hardly heard of, let alone expressed a desire to have as president? What?

Idk, maybe the theory is that we are so divided that we cannot make the choice.

well... the market has definitely lost tonight:
CNBC is reporting that NASDAQ and S&P 500 have halted futures trading for the time being.
Dow futures had fallen more than 800 points.
