I fell on my knee while ice skating. I was able to continue walking despite the pain. However, a week later, I started having stronger pain mostly while sleeping and sometimes while sitting. What type of Dr. do I need to see, and is this something that may heal on its own?

Check it out by an orthopedist. It may be just bone bruising however it may be broken.
My son fell on his hands skating in a rink. His hand hurt a little. Over 24 hours later the pain came on intensely. Exrays showed it was fractured.
