Depending on what you use the card for Chase Freedom and Citi 2% Cash Back are both great cards.

Well it depends what you are looking to get points for.
Chase Ultimate Freedom is probably one of the best or Amex Everyday.

It depends what you want. The highest cash back is Citi 2%. Barclay's Arrival Plus offers 2.2% cash back, but only usable for travel-related purcahses. The most valuable currency is Starwood points, through AMEX Starwood card. Many cards have bonus areas that are even more lucrative, such as for gas, restaurants, etc. Chase Ink offers 5% for office-related purchases (Staples, Internet, cell phones, etc.). Also bear in mind that many cards have an annual fee that can cancel out some of their benefits if you don't use it enough.

I was thinking of getting a cash back card. We never carry a balance BH so percentage doesn't matter as much (but obviously don't want crazy high just in case). I don't want a yearly fee since we barely use the cards. Any suggestions?

This is a useful site: http://www.creditcards.com/cash-back.php
AmEx Blue Cash Everyday has no fee and gives extra back for gas and supermarkets.
Chase Sapphire Preferred (free the first year) has no foreign transaction fee, so is helpful if you travel or shop internationally.
For most cards, if you pay a fee (sometimes called a "preferred" card) the rewards are higher. Do the math to see which is best for you.

Citi Double Rewards cash back card has no annual fee and offers 2% cash back, which is the highest for a general fee-free card.

Chase freedom unlimited has no annual fee, and you get 1.5 points for ever dollar you spend in any category.

amex blue cash preferred gives 6% cash back at groceries 3% cash back at gas stations. costs $75 a year, but if u spend youll end up getting up more then $75 back. you also get $250 back if you spend $1000 in first 3 months which covers the annual fee.
the blue cash (not preferred) has no annual fee but only gives 3% Cash Back
at U.S. supermarkets and 2% back at gas stations.
both better than citi imho
