I am thinking about this recipe I made years ago. It was on the back of one of the heimishe brands of chocolate chips - I think a red bag so not Leibers? Years ago, there were not that many companies.

So basically it had a layer with maybe chocolate chips & walnuts.I am thinking a meringue but maybe marshmallows. Or maybe just two layers of batter w some yammy stuff sprinkled in the middle. An easy recipe (the only kind I do).

Anyone here know what I'm talking about?

Yeah, maybe it was magic. I don't think s'mores were invented in those days : )

I don't have my recipe book on hand, but these http://www.momontimeout.com/20.....bars/
look like something I make that might fit your description.

Sorry I don't know what sort of recipe you had. Sad
But FYI, smores go back to the early 1900's Smile

I can't personally attest to having them in the 1900's, but I do remember meaking Smores in overnight camp in the early 1960's.
