If you give or get money for Chanukah gifts, how much money do you give your grandchildren, or how much do your children get from your parents/in laws, for Chanukah, each?

Usually it depends on age.

Under 2? (Value of gift, because they dont know what to do with money)

2-6?

6-10?

10-13?

13-17?

18- 20?

20 and up?

My grandma gets us chanuka gifts but she gives the parents 75$-100 each family and they spend it on the gifts and we bring the gift to the party and my grandmother give it to them. She would give may $1-5 per kid and if your 18+ you get bet $10-25

There are no rules. People have different budgets. I think my grandparents gave us $18 for chanukah no matter how old we were and my parents saved it for us when we were little. I was always happy to get whatever amount and appreciated it. My in laws give us $50 each which I think is very nice. My parents buy us gifts. At this age I don't expect such gifts but it makes me feel loved

Are we cousins?! LOL
My grandma actually gives a dollar more than the age (also great grandkids k''h!)
Each kid gets in their own envelope and it's always fresh dollar bills from the bank.
Once married the couple gets $50

Now that Chanukah is almost over, how much money did your kids get this year from their grandparents?

Is it weird to give to only older children and give nothing to the little ones (under 2)?

Growing up I had no grandparents and my parents would give me $1 for Chanukah gelt.

These days we all live in Israel so my parents do the grandchild's age times 8. So a 10 year old will get 80 shekel. My in laws do presents for younger, money for older (about 15 and up).

I get $100 per kid from my in laws and from
My parents I get $100 per kid plus $200 for me and my husband. Usually my kids end up spending it all plus the $200 that I don't end up buying myself anything.

One side gives $40 per child and one $60 per child- age doesn't matter.

Nothing.
My grandmother gave us a toy, game or magazine subscription until we were midteens then she gave us money. $25 or $50, I don't remember.

And lots of love.
