You can get any bag (or scarf, sunglasses, etc) from Nordstrom with a gift receipt. They have free returns.
Gift card to Sephora if she's the type to enjoy
Dinner for two at a nice fleishig restaurant near where she lives
Tickets to a Broadway show if she lives near and you know what she'd like to see
Designer perfume

What does she like? An iPod comes to mind if she's into music, or maybe a gift card for a massage/facial/manicure at a local spa.

sephora perfume sampler set, get an expensive one, she gets 10 mini and can exchange for 1 full sized
spa package (but it's not returnable)

Thanks, all great ideas.
I don't know anything about where she lives and don't think there are any major restaurants. It's out of town.
Will do gift from department store where she can return/exchange.
