(anon because I posted something else anon in this forum just now 😀)

Why does foundation always cake up and look awful on me? I have tried multiple brands, including ones made for very dry skin like mine. I've used primer and not used primer. I've worn and not worn mositurizer beneath it. Primer + powder seems to work the best but I have to be very careful applying it. Even so, it never sticks all day, eventually gets cakey, and I can't touch it at all even gently or it just gets all weird.

Help?

Try using argan oil before you apply your foundation. Apply with a damp beauty blender.
I also find that setting my face with powder only made my skin mroe flakey, so I will only really set my foundation by my cheeks, chin and forehead but not around my nose area where it tends to be more dry.
I have dryish skin in the winter so I constantly change foundation projects.
I love makeup forever HD foundation, I found it was full coverage without drying my skin.

Apply with damp beauty blender and always spray Mac fix+ after applying all your make up!

Are you using concealer or otherwise covering up areas?
