I need soy milk for a recipe but the only one I have in my house says a best if used by date sep 22 2016. It's been sitting unopened on my shelf. Can I still use it? I also have coconut milk that was opened about 2 1/2 months ago but I put it right in my freezer after using some of it. Is that ok to use? TIA

Soy milk you can use. How much is needed anyway? I sometimes put juice if recipe calls for very little, like 1/4 cup.

If it's in baking I would still use apple juice. Otherwise, don't worry about the soy milk. Use it.

Yes but it will go bad quicker. Close the top tightly and throw it out when it starts to blow up (u can't always smell but it will blow up the bottle it's in)
