Is using a booster seat in Israel (for an 8 yr old-about 70 lbs) a norm like it is in the US? I would love not to cart a booster seat but on the other hand, if it's the norm, I will.

It's not the norm, but it is the law.

What exactly is the law? Does it go by weight or what? Children have to be in the backseat?
Thanks in advance.

Child from age 3-8 must be seated in a carseat or booster appropriate to his weight & size. No rule about the backseat.
