I just got off the phone with my sister and she really needs help. Her DH is abusive but subtlety so mostly emotional but sometimes physical. She needs to get and needs a lawyer who at least can give her some advice. She doesn't have a lot of money but doesn't know how to go about the process or what she can do to prove her situation. Can anyone recommend a lawyer (preferably female and frum) in the greater Jerusalem area who will give her a consultation?

She needs to call Bat Melech. They provide legal assistance and run a shelter. Maybe more, call yourself and ask them what she should do.

She should file a police report and have a restraining order.
I would hope that the police will be able to provide her with an address for a shelter.
Great that your sister wants to get out of this situation and has you to support her!

As soon as she could, she should get to a Revacha office to get a social worker on her case.
She may be able to get one through her doctor/kupa.
