This is my oldest, so I have no experience. My son has been very successful at a white shirt mesivta but now he really prefer going to college. Where can I find a strong college program within a Bais Medresh structure? Thanks for all ideas!

I will be watching this thread. I am in the same situation. We are more yeshivish, and I have heard mixed information about whether a frum, yeshivish guy will fit in to YU these days. My son wants a real college and then graduate school education. There are many young, yeshivish professionals who have obviously succeeded in combining yeshiva and college, but it's hard to network and find them.

That's not true, my husband went to Landers straight after high school and learned and studied there for 2.5 years, then switched to a full-time college because they didn't offer his degree.

Poalei Yisrael in Yardley, PA (right outside of Lakewood), sounds like what you want, near all the good colleges in Philadelphia. 443- 635-8406
There's also the new one in Lakewood, but I think the guys there are mostly working and learning... Will get name and number if you want.

Yeah, it's new, I've heard good things. It's for boys that really want to work or get a degree, not just a place for boys who weren't successful learning. Why not call, can't hurt.
