My daughter is 4. Often very sullen with frequent crying spells at home and day care/camp. Is this too young to talk to a professional?

It never hurts to talk to a professional to see what they think, a. if they can help you and b. if they think your daughter needs that help now or to wait.

Absolutely not too early! There are many therapy modes that work well for children this age, play therapy is the major one that comes to mind for me. The key is to find someone who has experience working with children this age. It can really help, ask your pediatrician for a recommendation.
