Yes. They came around 2:00 they handcuffed her than. We tried to argue and talk for about an hour. I'm litterly shivering. I hope no one else will get into trouble for this. What is the punishment for a class n misdemeanor?

Have you told her parents? Were you all making a lot of noise /disturbance in the middle of the night?
Maybe you need a lawyer.

Never argue with neighbors or cops. It can lead to arrest. Best to be humble and apologize profusely. Can still apologize profusely to the judge.

Yes, you may go visit her. And you may bring food, I believe. Call ahead, to verify.

It depends a lot on your demeanor. If you are humble , or act humble, and apologetic, the officer is more likely to be lenient with you. If you act arrogant and flippant, and insist you're in the right, the officer is more likely to be harsh with you. It's all a game and if you know how to play it you can get out alive.

She had apologised to the neighbor. However, the neighbor wanted to know her information and who else went in. We refused to tell her. When the cops first came, we were very polite. The first thing though they handcuffed the woman that the neighbor pointed out. Then we were shocked and started the arguments.

Who else would get in trouble?
There is a range of things the judge could do - but most likely your friend will walk away from this not much more that a story to tell.

Maybe you should ask for this thread to be deleted.
The whole thread is a little misleading. I assumed from your original post that your friend had gone in sometime on Shabbas afternoon to get a ball, and then had been arrested afterwards. But if you were all making a huge rukus at 11 o'clock at night, that is a completely different story.

Is there a reason the other person who trespassed was not arrested ?

I'm guessing that's how long it's going to take to see a judge. I'm not a New York based criminal lawyer.
Try to get some sleep.
Learn from this.
