I have 4 kids 6- 9mo. I get no cooperation from them. From the moment they wake up it's just a series of them fighting with each other. Whining about being mistreated by each other. Being destructive. Being disruptive. Fighting. Whining. Disobeying.
I used to be such a patient lovingbz mom. I try to lead by example. Speak kindly, involve them in clean up... Now I spend my day yelling and threatening.

Have you tried books like How to talk so your kids will listen and listen so your kids will talk? It's possible to change the dynamics with some guidance for yourself, from either books or parenting classes. The key is to find a method that works for you and use it consistently.
