I once had this discussion years ago in school & was glad to find out I wasn't the only one who thinks one days of the week as colors. Meaning, when I say a day of the week, I picture a color.

This is mine:

Sunday- white
Monday - red
Tuesday - blue
Wednesday - Green
Friday - brown
Shabbos - black

It's been like this since I was bout 10 years old! Anyone else?

thats so interesting.
I consider myself a very visual person too- it goes in one ear and out the other if I dont write it, or see it. But im not an artist at all- I have a good eye for things that go, or look good together, but I cant actually draw or create them. are you artistic?

I always pictured the days of the week as a (slightly crooked, right leaning) vertical line going down. wow, ive never articulated that.
sunday is at the top, wed is sort of where it gets crooked, shabbos is at the botom.
I also picture numbers (as a snaking vertical line, too but in a very different form), going up. 1-10 is a straight line, 11-20 is a crooked line, then each 10 digit increment up till 100 is a straihgt line on the diagonal.
I picture history as a sort of snake path winding its way down... six days of creation... flood... going down to mitzrayim... bais hamikdash.. and then I picture the last five hundred years as vertical lines going down. I think the early history image is based on an illustration I saw as a very young girl, though.
I find it fascinating that you see the days of the week as colors. anybody else picture it the way I do?

Rimbaud associated colours with letters. You might be interested in this poem: http://www.wheatoncollege.edu/......html

Translation from another site:

Black A, white E, red I, green U, blue O: vowels,
One day, I shall reveal your latent births:
A, black corset hairy with dazzling flies
which buzz around cruel stenches,

Gulfs of shade; E, whiteness of vapours and tents,
lances of proud glaciers, white kings, the shivering of flowers;
I, crimsons, spat blood, laughter of beautiful lips
in anger or penitent intoxications;

U, cycles, divine vibrations of green seas,
Peace of pastures dotted with animals, peace of wrinkles
which alchemy imprints on broad studious foreheads;

O, supreme Trumpet full of strange strident calls,
silences crossed by the Worlds and by the Angels:
- O the Omega, violet ray of His Eyes!

So is Thursday the whole rainbow or no color at all? Or does Thursday not exist?

Thursday might feel bad. Give it a color!!

I never thought about it but now that I am... I think of wednesday as yellow.

Also, I think of days as like cars on a train sunday is the first car and shabbos the last. and its very bright in the beginning of the week and dark at the end-

I have no idea if I sound ridiculous or not so I'm keeping this anonymous.

Amother - it sounds fine. It's along the same lines - imagining something abstract as something real.

Justanothermother - I'm gonna look for that book.
