I am looking for a hall that is specifically for a bar mitzvah and very affordable.
We will have under 100 people.
Looking for suggestions for something nice.
Thanks!

My friend made a Bar Mitzvah in Rabbi Shachar's shul (East End area). It's very nice but not huge. I don't know what it cost but I don't think it was at the expensive end. Worth looking into?

We used Estreia, the restaurant on river ave (rt 9). we had about 85 people and it was beautiful without any upgrades and after pricing out other places, we found it to be well priced.
There is a shul near Nowlan/7th st (don't know what its called) that is lower in pricing than other places for the hall itself. Problem was when we called private caterers, we found they demanded a minimum # of people even though we didn't have the actual # of guests, so it didn't pay to hire a cheap hall and pay for extra food.
There is also a place, I think called bais pinchus maybe in new England village? not sure where exactly, that we also looked at that was pretty reasonable.

I've made small affairs catered in my home for less than 100 people, (think vacht nacht) and was able to get it catered no issue. I think yossi's did it.
Also glatt bite has a small hall next door, maybe they will also be more reasonable. I've been to a few sheva brachos over there.

Glatt bite will be too small and isn't the right set up for bar mitzvah
Try bnos Brocha. Think they r from the cheaper end

You can get a caterer for a small event but they won't bring their nice china for a small event. If you just want a caterer to drop off food then it won't be hard any caterer will do it but if you want a caterer to be on top of the food situation and to make sure that it's hot and stays hot and to serve on nice china then for that there is a minimum. That's why sometimes it's worth it to go to a place like Estreia that's $350 for the hall and he gives you food for a reasonable price too.
