Looking for a low sugar snack bar for my toddler. I know I prob. should make my own but there are reasons why I want to buy one already made.
I was preferably looking for some kind of bar that had some protein, some fiber and sweetened with fruit. Not too many calories (just for a snack). Not easy to find at all.
Does anyone know about the nugo slim bars- do they have any artificial sugar in them? I'm not familiar with some of the ingredients on the packaging- would any of them be unwise to give to a small child (I don't want to give him something that may be questionably unhealthy). I wasn't specifically looking for something so high-protein, is it OK for him to eat something with so much? (for a bar this big I'd only give him 1/2 one)
Here's the ingredient list:
Protein Blend [Soy Crisp (Soy Protein, Tapioca, Salt), Soy Protein, Rice Protein], Dark Chocolate (Chocolate Liquor, Cane Sugar, Cocoa Butter), Chicory Root, Vegetable Glycerine, Alkalized Cocoa, Rice Bran, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Salt, Natural Flavors, Peppermint Extract.
any other ideas of a snack bar you know of would be super helpful!!! Thank you.
