Borsalinos have gotten really expensive in the past few years. For a long time, DH got for around $200ish, but then they went up over $250, and now some places charge over $300, which is ridiculous. He decided to try a different brand (I believe Ferster) which was much cheaper - around $175 - and so far, so good.

They cost about $300. Which is why my husband and sons don't wear them anymore.

They buy a hat from the Hat Box (in Lakewood). I don't know the name but I know it is made somewhere in Israel.

I know DH was happier with Ferster than Hat Box (Brooklyn), but not sure why. If you really want to save money, try this: https://www.yeshivishhats.com/. No experience with them, but even if it doesn't last so long, it's not a big commitment of money to see if your DH likes it.
