From the Balabustes Choice Cookbook:

Makes 2 cobblers:

2 cups oats
2 cups flour
1 1/3 cups light brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
2 sticks margarine
2 16 oz cans jellied cranberry sauce ( I've made the recipe using only one can)
4 cortland apples , peeled, cores, grated ( I've done it by dicing th apples very small)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix the first five ingredients until a smooth crust batter is formed. Press 1/4 crust batter into two 9 inch round pans. Mix cranberry sauce and combine with grated apples. Pour mixture evenly over crusts. Sprinkle remaining crust batter( crumble) over pies.

Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes

I just dice apples and mix in some cranberries into a lined 9x13. Or any other fruit really.

Then for the topping I use any mix of flours (I've used all purpose, whole wheat, spelt, almond flour, oat flour, just old fashioned oats, any ground nuts) to equal 1 c. I add some cinnamon, some ground ginger, about 3T coconut sugar or stevia or honey or any combo, and 2-3T olive oil to moisten, and sprinkle over fruit. Bake at 350 for an hour and a half or until fruit is soft for apples, bubbling for stone fruit.

I froze it. Just defrost and then wa in the oven before serving. We don't like it hot. So I reward in the oven and then let it sit on the counter until serving time
