I would love some input regarding high schools! My son is a very sweet, highly social, well behaved boy. However, he really struggles academically, and is quite behind in certain subjects. he has some learning disabilities, and in addition missed an entire year of school last year due to health issues. He's been in a regular school, though we have supplemented with lots of private tutoring. I don't see how he could manage taking math regents. we need a school that would be flexible in terms of working with a child who is weak academically. I would consider special ed schools, but most of what ive seen is for kids with social and behavioral challenges, and I really don't think that would be the right environment for him. We live in Brooklyn but are open to options in the extended NY area, even if it means we need to move (though would rather avoid that for the sake of my other kids!). Any ideas??

Look into Doresh in Florida if you are willing to have him dorm. I was really impressed with the whole program.

I've heard good things about Tiferes Shmuel in Brooklyn, and there's also Shaarei Arazim in Monsey.
