My breaded veal cutlets fell on the floor just as I was about to start frying them. I immediately scooped them up. The cleaning lady was here today and washed the floors with a steam mop (no chemicals) but probably plenty of ppl have stepped on the floor since. Can I use or should I toss?

I think any germs will get killed in cooking. I don't know what I'd do with cooked food that fell, but raw I would think is fine.

High heat doesn't kill harmful bacteria though

Actually I read recently that shoes have a lot of pretty nasty bacteria on them... but so does your kitchen sink.

I would use. Any bacteria left on them will build up your immune system
