Do you own a top-load stackable unit and purchased it in the past year or so ? What's been your experience so far in terms of it cleaning the clothes, especially whites? noise level? anything else? I'm not asking about older models simply because I would think they're no longer being sold at stores offering a payment plan. Such as PC Richard or Sears. (Did I miss any?)
These three models are on the market, as far as I can tell: GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire. The sales rep says the Frigidaire is a good machine, and that the ones with agitators ruin the clothes. The new frigidaire stackable does not have an agitator, instead it has some flaps on the bottom that open and close and clean the clothes. The GE and Whirlpool have an agitator.
Do any of you own any of these? if yes, what's your experience?
Some reviews on Amazon are suggesting the Frigidaire locks once the machine starts, and it remains locked until the load is done. Really? And there is no indicator to see when the load will end. Really?

Yes, the GE and Whirlpool have an agitator.

Go with the whirlpool with agitator. I had one previously and it was very good.
