I know people pay decorators A LOT for this advise.
Don't have the budget for that
My floors are very light grey glossy tile, it has a little bit of wood grain veining, very subtle, but very very glossy.
I'm looking for a white, but not all whites are the same.
I don't want it to look beige or greige.
I want an airy white that will pick up the white in the tile.
Also, do I paint the baseboard the same color?
What about the ceiling
I like a very modern but airy look.
BTW- I'm painting the WHOLE house (small apartment) the same color.

We did super white in a very small enclosed area.
It brightens the room and makes it look clean and larger.

I paid a decorator cuz I’m super indecisive. And there are 1000000000 colors to choose from. She didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know from google. The white we settled on for my woodwork is called marshmallow. It looks just like it’s namesake:)
If ur sure u wanna go all white I’d say use the same for wall and trim, with dif finishes- eggshell for the wall, semigloss for the woodwork.
That being said, I think white walls throughout can be very harsh, and doesn’t always look great with furniture or... I did a very light neutral color. The overall look is white- but it’s not really.
@Katusha_co has an all White House that actually works

Thanks for the eggshell and semigloss idea.
I like that
What is @Katusha_co, can you send the link.
I'm actually looking for whit-ish, that moves towards grey, but not grey.
If it makes a difference, I live in Florida. Needs to be light and airy.

As a side note, eggshell finish is beautiful, but very impractical. Its isnt washable.

My walls are pale oak. I love that it has 0 beige undertones in any light. It does change colors depending on the lighting - but all paint colors do. My main floor is very bright and sunny. The walls look white with a tinniest bit of grey. In my dark basement it’s greige. (I’d post a pic but dunno how)
I’d recommend selecting a few colors based on ur internet research n painting samples on ur walls. The paint will change depending on which wall what time of day, and ur lighting.
Eggshell finish is def washable. I have 4 small kids so I know:)

Just basic cleaning
Empty nester it's just DH and me.
Kids/grandkids visit 2x a year, total 8- 10 days out of the year.
I do have a lot of guests on Shabbat though, some with kids.

Read the article
Loved the ending
"Frum wisdom wishes you grandchildren filling the house before empty-nest syndrome has a chance to take hold. Enjoy this look at a distance, and focus your efforts on maintaining the pristine white interior that you refresh every Yom Kippur."
Still want white walls.
Easier and cheaper to paint than get new furniture.
Furniture will be medium to dark grey

Look into Benjamin Moore- color horizon. I think it's number 43. It is a very light grey. There is also a lighter one on the same card.
Did it in my basement through. It is light and airy with a slight grey tone. I think I used pearl finish.
