I'm not sure what forum to post this under, does anyone know the going rate for a young man in the NY area starting a bookkeeping job without any prior experience in the working field?

Why would it be different than the going rate for a young woman with no prior experience?
I think the rate is like $20-$22 an hour, but I could be wrong. I don't live in NY.
