I got both my sheitals almost 4 years ago when I got married. I am trying to see how long is considered normal to have a sheital for. One is a shevy and one is some Israeli brand if that matters...

Mine last 5-6 years. I wear a shaitel every day and rotate between three.

It varies by many factors (how often you wear it, how often you wash it, how carefully you brush it, etc.) but a shaitel macher once told me that on average you should be able to get a year of wear per $500 spent.

4 years of great hair and then reshape the haircut and stretch for another 1-2 years.

I usually spend approximately $1000 on my wigs so I guess I really get my money's worth . (My two wigs that I got married with were more expensive and they didn't last any longer than my cheaper one.)
