Where do you get your backseam tights with no control top? I can only find control top. I am out of town and need to order online. What brand stay up and don't sag down from the waist? Also, what denier do you get?
I need comfort first. I will not wear control top and am finally down to the size, after all my babies, where I don't need control top anymore!

Levante makes a nice tights under the name "Guade" that comes in control top and without control top.
Ralph Lauren makes a nice black opaque one too, that I'm sure is available online.
I'm not sure what you mean by "backseam", but I assume you can add a seam to any tights.
I hope this helps.

Excuse my naivete. But if the seams are for Chasidishe reasons, aren't they automatically 60 denier.
If it is for fashion, isn't sheer ( very low denier) with seams, a tad provocative.. ??

Control top refers to the top / upper leg portion of the tights. Not necessarily the thickness/ denier of the legs part.

Thank you
I know what control top is... OP asked what denier she should get..
I always thought, if you're Chasidish you get Palm, it's 60D or higher.
Otherwise, its called fetishwear..

Only Satmar girls wear Palm. Other schools may require 60D but not Palm.
And many girls take off palm and some go down to 40D once they're married, it still looks fine.
But then there are those that wear sheer 20D or so, but still wear the seams, and yes, it certainly looks like fetishwear.

The only Palm I can find are with control top. I really don't want that. They are so uncomfortable. I want to know what the lowest denier I can get is that won't look bad. There are 100, 60, and maybe 40. I don't sew well so I don't trust myself to add seams into any tights.
