Banana Cake – from a reg. cake mix
from our fine friends at copykat
yellow cake mix
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 medium ripe bananas, peeled and mashed (about 1 cup)
1 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs, checked for blood spots
2 teaspoons rum or vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9 by 13 pan.
In a large mixing bowl, beat all ingredients with an electric mixer at medium speed. (You can mix it by hand if you want to, but sometimes a cake mix has sort of chemically clumps left in it so a mixer is better.)
Pour into pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until tests done with knife. Eat and enjoy!.

instead of cake mix you can just add flour, sugar, salt and baking powder ... that is the base to any cake mix

There are many banana cake recipes that are quite easy. However, this has only 5 ingredients so that's why I'm sharing it.

Could you PLEASE not rain on my parade, Green? It's a banana cake using a mix. Please leave it at that.

I just made banana cake from scratch using a recipe from spice and spirit. It was really easy, and I use self raising flour anyway, so thats one less ingredient. Can't see how it would be easier to use a mix.
Yup, not all of us live on top of large kosher supermarkets.

If people continue "beating me up" when I post recipes, I'm, bli neder, not going to bother posting them anymore.
It is what it is. It's a banana cake made with a cake mix.
Raisin, I don't get self rising flour where I live.
