Am I the only one that make mm simple.
Sparkling grape juice, pistachio packs, thin addictive, and some candies, in a long box.
I’m almost embarrassed when I hear what others are making, with themes etc.

I usually do a theme but I don’t think about it until a day or two before. Really not stressful for me. I also picked out costumes today.

I don't know what thin addictives are but that sounds like something I would do.

Thin biscottis you buy in Costco. They come 3-4 in individual packs. They are Pas Yisroel, Yoshon, Parve, they have Montreal hashgacha
What can I do to make them seem a bit more fancy, but SUPER EASY

What you are sending is more elaborate than my themed shalach manos. Themed shalach manos doesn't mean extravagant. I prepared a can of iced tea and 4 snowball cookies on a paper plate inserted in a clear bag. I have a cute poem and that's my "themed" shalach manos. For me doing themes makes my life a lot simpler.

I would love to give what you said op, but I make so many and can't afford it. Sometimes a theme makes it more affordable. (Of course not for everyone, but that's how it has worked out for me). Your mm sounds beautiful and very respectable!

I’m making 13 and then recycling from the ones I receive. If I make for each person that brings I would have to make over 50.
That’s what happens when DH is the Rabbi

If I can think of something ha-Adama to give, I have a theme, brochos party.
Now I need a cute poem about saying brochos and amen

I'll tell you a secret. The reason we do themes is so we can get away with not spending a crazy amount on each MM. A box that fits a sparkling grape juice would be at least $2 each, and that's just on the container! Times 30, you're spending $60 on the packaging alone.
Our aim is to spend as little as possible on each mishloach manos. So we think of themes that use simple, inexpensive items, and the cuteness makes up for it. That's our Purim hack.

Hadama can be peanuts, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes. What bracha is a granola bar?

I don't do a theme but I bake cookies and give that with an ice coffee. I bake because I find that much cheaper than buying all the stuff you buy. I make about 35 of these mishloach manos. There are a few people I don't give homemade to and those end up being much more expensive. Usually wine, some chocolate, waferolls in a bag.

First of all I don’t know how to bake
Second in our community we only give out packaged stuff. DH insists that.
One year I did ice tea, tea biscuits, and almonds tied together with lace. The theme was Arsinic and Old Lace. No one really got it.
I know it was strange, but it was inexpensive.
Maybe not as cheap as baking.

OP, no need to be embarrased. I never do themes. I try to keep packing at a minimal cost. I don't enjoy dealing with MM, for me it's simply overrated. The mitzva of MM isn't to make fancy themed things that you have to shell out your hard earned money on. But for those who enjoy it are free to do so.
