Hosting sheva bracha for a niece. Do I still give a regular wedding gift or hosting sheva bracha is gift?

Depends on the expense you are going to for this, but if you are the one hosting, then likely that is gift enough.

If I am doing sheva brachas that counts as a gift but I don't have many nieces and nephews so it is always for friends. If you are the only hostess it is probably costing what is normally spent on a gift for a niece.

Definitely is the gift, as far as I'm concerned.
