raintree has a wonderful mix of people! The houses are more spread apart with very large backyards so people definitely can have their privacy but depending on the block there are often children and mothers enjoying the outdoors together outside.

If you're looking for a community feeling with friendly neighbors you don't belong in the Brook area at all. That's a fancier neighborhood and while people will be polite and nice no one will be inviting you for meals or going out of their way to make friends.

I’m assuming you don’t live in the Brook area, because I do. I live in a basement in Brookhill, absolutely love my neighborhood, everyone is warm and friendly and I’ve made really close friends. It is definitely more to the chassidish side but we are welcoming to everyone, I had a good friend on the block who was not Heimish at all and now lives in Jackson. It’s a large area so every block and development will be different, but that’s been my experience.

Pardon my ignorance, where exactly is Raintree? What type of shul? I’d it warm and welcoming?

If u have young kids Lakeview has a mix of all types and everyone gets along. They're smaller starter homes and mothers sit outside and shmooze.
