Can some Imamothers and Morahs post what they receive if it’s cash or gift card. DS had a great Rebbe this year and the school isn’t doing a class gift. If you DH is a Rebbe feel free to post as well. Trying to get an idea of the range.

My husband is a rebbi in an out of town elementary school. He probably gets thank you cards/gifts from about 1/3 of the class. He is always thankful for anything and does not expect it at all. Here are some things he’s gotten:
1) personalized card with small gift (chocolates, a mug, candy platter, homemade cookies, etc). Personalized is always appreciated
2) gift cards in the $18-50 range. These we appreciate, but not always so practical because they are often to a specific place (think Starbucks or Best Buy).
3) checks or cash from $18-$100 range. Always appreciated, never expected
4) we one time got $180 to an expensive restaurant. That was fun
5) a gift for or young children, I find that to be very personal and sweet.
This obviously is out of town, and he teaches elementary so I don’t know how much correlates to your situation.

Being that a teacher's salary isn't that great, cash always is appreciated!

Pinterest has so many ideas but you can tweak them since they really are for teachers who aren’t Rebbes. Google helps too and I’m sure so does $$$$ as a gift with a nice heartfelt card. I make sure to include my sons when writing any type of card-whether it’s a thank you card, bday, etc...
