From nyc to mexico? If not what documents are required?

If I'm correct, a passport is needed if traveling outside of the US. (Besides if traveling to Canada.) But I might be mistaken, maybe call a travel agent.

There's a chance you can get in with a birth certificate, but I personally wouldn't risk it and would bring a passport.

You might be able to get in just with a birth certificate, but you may have trouble getting out.

And if you are traveling without the father, you will need a notarized letter.
