We are all living with one, we just don't know the time.

LIFE is a terminal illness. we all will die eventually. knowing would allow you to make amends, make decisions, plan for children etc. in reality we all should be living that way as none of us has a guarantee for tomorrow

Yes, I would want to know. That way I could prepare and make sure certain of my possessions were distributed in advance and that I had an up-to-date will. I would also want to know the cause and manner of my death so that I could be mentally and emotionally prepared. It would be a big relief to me if I knew I wasn't going to die in a nursing home.

Yes absolutely. I have a hatred for people in my community who speak Loshon Hora about me. I cannot bring myself to forgive them. The day before I die I will absolutely forgive everyone who hurt me. This generation is quick to spread information that's only one phone call away from finding out if it's true or not. They know my name and where I live. Duh!

Might be worth it to listen to Wayne Dyer on this topic.

On what topic? Loshon hara?
(Man, I don't think I've even heard the name in 20 years.)

Forgiveness. I thought that's what he's famous for.

You already live with a death sentence. No one gets out of here alive. The question is do you want to know when.
I don’t know. I’d like to know how it all turns out. I could enjoy it more if I knew that the kids all get happily married and can take care of themselves in the end.
I think I’d like to know my expiration date as well. To say goodbye. To have things in order. To minimize regrets. To make sure I’ve done tshuva. But ... maybe not.

Funny, I thought it was for his book I'm Okay You're Okay and That's Okay.
But that's not his book.
Thanks.

You make me think of the Old Man River song.
"Now I'm weary/sick of tryin/cause I'm tired of living/but I'm scared of dying/that Old Man River/he just keeps rollin along."
I don't know if I get you or not but hugs!
