What advice and suggestions can you think of is important to know. Important to have. What you would've liked in your house?

I did a thead on dream houses about 6 years ago. The ladies came up with every suggestion many, of which we incorporated.
The best thing we ever did was hire an energy consultant. My bills are a fraction of bills for a house a fraction of my size. Spending money on the parts you don't see pays off. We broke even the first year because of programs the energy consultant knew about.
We also put in backup systems.
What type of house are you building?

Sorry, I can't find the thead. There's nothing that we didn't put in the house that I regret. Good space planning is important. DH spent a lot of money on things that I didn't realize were important until I see houses without. For instance, he hired a lighting designer which I thought was a waste, but living in the house I see how important it is.
Some things we love:
2 master bathrooms
3 sinks
Pesach kitchen
Sun tunnels to bring natural light onto the hallways
Sky lights
Nice entranceway
Jack and Jill bathroom for future dils.
Big pantries
Lots of closets
Radiant heat
Foam insulation
A living area off the kitchen
High ceilings
Oversized doors
Sukkoh room
