There is this Woodstock anniversary concert, I don’t know the area at all so I don’t know if it will affect visiting day.
so away from traffic will be better.

oh yes. it is up and running and will create a traffic nightmare. I'd stay far from the catskills this weekend . some camps cancelled visiting sunday due to this event .

Route 17b will be closed. 50,000 cars expected on road to this concert. You need a pass to be able to pass. All weekend. Avoid if possible.
