My 6 year old has been having them pretty often the last two weeks. It’s scary. Anyone else dealt with this and can give me some advice . He even gets out of bed , tonight he turned on his light and was yelling and shaking... it’s scary

My DS now 12 had this a few times a week for about 3 yrs!!! we took him to a sleep dr and for a sleep test at the children's hospital. Bh all was fine. The dr said its completely normal.
Just make sure the kid doesn't harm himself or others and they'll usually snap out of it after a few minutes.
My DD 8 now has it too, although it's happening less frequently. Sometimes I'll try to wake them up, but then they wake up startled and it's harder to get them back to sleep. If I don't wake them they never remember anything in the morning, I don't say anything about it.

Two of my sons had them. Totally normal. They did not remember them at all in the morning. They both outgrew it.

My son had them a few times after I had a new baby. Then they stopped B"H. They do tend to occur after a major change in the kid's life, but strep may also be a culprit.
